Rick Eastman - A number of years ago there was a television program entitled "Growing Pains". It centered around a family who had a couple of younger kids. The program centered around the difficulties and challenges that both kids and parents experienced through the period in their lives where the kids were growing up and maturing. There was a lot of laughter and crying during each episode. That pretty well sums up our life as Christ's followers. In our "growing up" in Jesus there will be times of laughter as well as crying. But through it all we must keep focused on the goal of becoming more and more like Jesus. That's the goal of being discipled. Today, pastor Rick will go into more detail as to what that involves.
